Maruti Suzuki car sales September 2021: Maruti Suzuki India Limited posted total sales of 86,380 units in September 2021. Total sales in the month include domestic sales of 66,415 units, sales to other OEM of 2,400 units and exports of 17,565 units.

Sales volume of the company in September 2021 was adversely impacted due to shortage of electronic components. The Company took all possible measures to limit the adverse impact, Maruti has informed.

Owing to a supply constraint of electronic components due to the semiconductor shortage situation, the Company is expecting an adverse impact on vehicle production in the month of October’21 in both Haryana and its contract manufacturing company, Suzuki Motor Gujarat (SMG) in Gujarat.

Though the situation is quite dynamic, it is currently estimated that the total vehicle production volume across both locations could be around 60% of normal production. Maruti Suzuki's mini passenger vehicles sales, which include models such as Alto, S-Presso, in August 2021 stood at 20,461 units, compared to 19,709 units in the corresponding month last year, the company announced.

The sales of compact passenger vehicles including models such as WagonR, Swift, Celerio, Ignis, Baleno, Dzire, Tour S, stood at 20,891 units last month, against 84,213 units in the year-ago period.

Maruti’s total domestic sales, including passenger vehicles and light commercial vehicles (LCV) stood at 66,415 units, compared to 150,040 units in the corresponding month last year. The total domestic passenger vehicles sold in September stood at 68815 units, against 152,608 units in the year-ago period.

Maruti's total sales, including total domestic sales and export, stood at 86,380 units, compared to 160,442 units in the corresponding month last year. The total export sales in September stood at 17,565 units, against 7834 units in the year-ago period.
