Kia Seltos price in India hiked by Rs 35,000. The car maker on Friday announced that it will increase the price of its SUV Seltos by up to Rs 35,000 across variants from January 1. Kia Motors said that the price of all Seltos models will be increased between Rs 25,000 and Rs 35,000 across the country. The latest price hike was confirmed by Kia Motors through an official statement on Friday.

After the announcement, the Kia Seltos price in India will be between Rs 9.89 lakh and Rs 16.29 lakh. The petrol variant which costs between Rs 9.89 lakh and Rs 14.09 lakh witnesses an increase of Rs 20,000 for the base HTE variant and Rs 30,000 for all the trims above that. The prices of the turbo-petrol version will go up by Rs 30,000.

The biggest price hike has been announced for the diesel version of the car which sees an increase of Rs 35,000. The Seltos continues to be available with 18 variants in two distinct categories – Tech-line and GT-line; the former gets a 115hp, 1.5-litre petrol engine (with a manual or CVT auto gearbox) and a 115hp, 1.5-litre diesel mill (mated to a manual or torque converter automatic transmission).

Notably, the company has not given any reason behind the increase in price.

Earlier, several car manufacturers had announced a hike in the rates of their cars from January. These included - Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata Motors, Toyota and Renault. Some of these have already announced the exact hike while others are yet to release the figures.
