Jeep has released a first set of images of its updated Renegade SUV at the Turin Motor Show 2018 in Italy. The Jeep Renegade facelift has got a redesigned front bumper that extends a bit lower than its predecessor, and also boasts of two additional fog lamps positioned at the lower-end of the bumper, with dedicated clear-lens turn indicators above them, said an Auto Car report.

Further, Jeep Renegade's headlights get LED treatment along with daytime running lights similar to the ones on the new Wrangler, said the report, adding that the Renegade’s tail-lights have also got slightly reprofiled, making them look fresher than the outgoing model.

Although Jeep did not release any interior pictures or details, spy shots reportedly hint at minor tweaks to the seat fabric and a slightly larger infotainment screen with the latest software, including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, in all variants.

The Renegade facelift is likely to be available with a new 1.0-litre and three-cylinder engine in the European market, and speculations are that a new 1.3-litre turbo-petrol motor in two states of tune – 150hp and 180hp, would also be made available for its lovers.

In India, Jeep is expected to launch the updated Renegade to India soon. The India-bound SUV is likely to come with a 140hp, 2.0-litre diesel and a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine with full-time four-wheel drive as optional and two-wheel drive as standard, Auto Car added.

The updated Renegade is likely to compete against Hyundai Creta, Renault’s Captur and the upcoming Nissan Kicks.
