Major two-wheeler manufacturer India Yamaha Motor has unveiled its latest sports motorcycles, the R3 and MT-03, expanding its product range in the domestic market. The company announced this move on Wednesday as part of its brand campaign, "The Call of the Blue."

Both the R3, designed for the track, and the street-oriented MT-03 will be offered in India as 'completely built-up units' (CBUs). Emphasizing the racing DNA of Yamaha, the company stated, "These two iconic motorcycles truly represent Yamaha's racing DNA and underscore the brand's unwavering commitment to advancing the premium motorcycle segment in the Indian market."

The R3 is priced at Rs 4,64,900, while the MT-03 comes with a price tag of Rs 4,59,900 (ex-showroom Delhi). Exclusive sales will be through select Blue Square dealerships in the country.

Eishin Chihana, Chairman of Yamaha Motor India Group of Companies, highlighted the commitment to strengthen the premium segment range, stating, "The R-Series and MT series models enjoy a huge fan base in India because of their superior performance and iconic design."

Chihana expressed excitement about the launch of the R3 and MT-03 in India, noting, "We are confident that both these models, showcasing Yamaha's cutting-edge technology and innovation, will undoubtedly captivate the interest of our young customers in the country."

The motorcycles feature a 321cc liquid-cooled engine, a two-cylinder, 4-stroke, and 4-valve per cylinder fuel-injected engine, multi-function LCD instrument cluster, LED headlight, among other advanced features. Yamaha aims to contribute to the growth of the premium motorcycle segment in India with the addition of these new models in the R-series and MT-series.
