Hyundai i20 Active launch in India; Know price, specification, features and many more

After opening bookings for Hyundai Creta facelift this week, the South Korean automaker has launched the latest Hyundai i20 Active on Indian roads. This new i20 active was displayed in Auto Expo 2018 and will now finally be available for purchase at an exclusive price between Rs 6.99 lakh to Rs 10.01 lakh in both petrol and diesel variant. Hyundai i20 Active was most awaited car in India this year, which will compete against Maruti Suzuki’s Baleno and other premium hatchbacks. 

In petrol version, the i20 Active will be available between Rs 6.99 lakh up till Rs 8.66 lakh, while the diesel version will be ranging from Rs 8.96 lakh all the way up to Rs 10.01 lakh in India. 

On it’s website, Hyundai describes i20 Active as, “Comfort is what makes every drive a pleasurable one. That's why every inch of the Hyundai i20 ACTIVE spells of comfort and convenience.” It adds, “With many first-in-segment features and the fluidic 2.0 design philosophy, this car is a built to make everyday an adventure.”

The i20 ACTIVE is powered by two performance-packed, proven and reliable engines - 1.2L Kappa Dual VTVT petrol engine and 1.4L U2 CRDi diesel engines.

The 1.2L Kappa petrol engine is extremely robust and delivers 83 ps at 6,000 rpm while peak torque measures  11.7 kg·m at 4,000 rpm. There is  5 Speed petrol transmission in petrol i20 ACTIVE offers highly responsive acceleration to make you drive a smooth experience.

Whereas, there is  6 speed diesel transmission which ensures to keep you ahead of the pack without burning a hole in  your pocket.

There is Anti- lock braking system in the car which prevents skidding and retains the car steering on slippery surfaces. It also enables stable braking and restricts wheel lock-up during panic braking.

The rear AC vents has been designed to enhance rear passenger comfort with instant cooling during summers & heating during winters.

i20 ACTIVE is equipped with a USB charger which will ensure you don't run out of phone battery when on the move.
