Commenting on the launch of the new electric three wheelers, Rani Srinivas, Founder, and CEO of ZERO21 said, “The addition of Teer and Smart Mule-X, would substantially widen our product portfolio, which consisted of our high-speed ReNEW Conversion kit and low-speed category vehicles like Smart Mule Cargo and Smart Mule Passenger. While most electric three wheelers have been primarily low speed, we expect growth to pick up in the high-speed market and thus these two products are crucial for us as we look forward to playing a crucial role in the India’s transition to clean mobility in line with our vision to be recognised as the most viable change accelerator, in 3 wheeler transportation, towards a green future with ZERO carbon emissions.”

Having returned to India after working in the US with Tesla Motors, Rani Srinivas elaborates on the company’s emphasis on three wheelers, “India has tremendous demand for commuter and logistics transportation which is effectively serviced by three wheelers across various cities. However, there has not been much innovation in the segment. We at ZERO21 want to rapidly transform this segment and introduce features and service solutions that changes the way that we perceive such commutes while at the same time empowering the drivers and fleet owners with ergonomically designed features and safety that would truly enhance the quality of their lives.”
