In a bid to have an upper hand over its rivals like Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and Hyundai Verna which fall in the same segment, Honda has revised the price of City model. Honda could only end up selling 42,045 units of City in 2018 as compared to 42,605 Hyundai Verna and 50,759 for Maruti Suzuki Ciaz.

In order to boost City's sales, Honda has slashed prices of the sedan's several models. Let's have a look at the which model received how much price cut:-

The car-maker has trimmed the price of the 1.5 SV Petrol by Rs 5,000 to Rs 9.50 lakh and Rs 9.76 lakh for the Pearl White colour. Again, the prices of 1.5 VX and 1.5 V CVT have been slashed by Rs 33,000 and Rs 3,000. The price reduction of Rs 22,000 has been implemented on 1.5 VX CVT model of City and Rs 10,000 have been reduced on 1.5 SV diesel variant of the car.

The 1.5 V and 1.5 VX diesel variants of City prices have been slashed by Rs. 14,000 and Rs. 33,000.

However, Honda has also hiked the price of some of the City variants. Like, the price of 1.5 V petrol has been increased by Rs 14,000 and Rs. 29,500 has been hiked on the price of ZX CVT petrol model. The ZX diesel variant also witnessed a hike by Rs 17,000.

At present, the Honda City price range starts at Rs 9.70 lakh and goes up to Rs 14.11 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom New Delhi).
