Several automakers have unveiled their latest electric models, such as Tata Motor's newly refreshed Tata Nexon EV, MG Comet, Citroen eC3, and more. What sets these options apart is their affordability, as all of them are priced at under Rs 15 lakh, allowing buyers to bring home top-tier electric cars within this budget range.

  • Tata Nexon EV

Tata Motors recently released a facelift version of Nexon EV with a starting ex-showroom price of Rs 14.74 lakh. The car has undergone a complete exterior and interior revamp, presenting a sleek, robotic appearance. Equipped with a 30 kWh battery pack generating a maximum power of 95 kW and torque of 215 Nm, Nexon EV prioritises safety with features like 6 airbags, electronic stability programmes, and traction control.

  • MG Comet EV

Introduced in May, MG's electric car, Comet EV, offers three different variants with varying prices. The base model PACE starts at an ex-showroom price of Rs 7.98 lakh. With a range of 230 killometres on a full charge, the vehicle claims to cover 1,000 killometres on Rs 519 worth of charge. Powered by a 17.3 kWh battery pack, Comet EV features a single motor producing 41.4 HP power and 110 Nm peak torque.

  • Citroen eC3 EV

Featuring a 29.2 kWh battery, Citroen eC3 delivers 57ps power and 143 nM torque. Requiring approximately 10.5 hours for a full charge (10 to 100 per cent), the starting ex-showroom price for this car is Rs 11.50 lakh, up to Rs 12.76 lakh for additional features.

  • Tata Tiago EV

With a starting ex-showroom price of Rs 8.69 lakh, Tata Tiago EV provides a range of 315 killometres on a single charge and accelerates from 0-60 km/h in just 5.7 seconds. Safety features include driver and co-driver airbags, ABS with EBD, seat belt systems, rear parking systems, and a puncture repair kit.

  • Tata Tigor EV

Priced at an ex-showroom starting price of Rs 12.49 lakh, Tata Tigor EV offers a 315 km range and has earned a 4-star rating in Global NCAP, ensuring robust safety features such as dual airbags, ABS with EBD, child safety rear door locks, and a reverse parking system.
