Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch its Invicto MPV on Wednesday, July 5. The upcoming MPV, based on the Toyota Innova Hycross, will be sold with a Maruti Suzuki badge in India. Though the details of the Maruti Suzuki’s flagship model are yet to be revealed officially, the teasers and leaked pictures indicate the Maruti Suzuki Invicto is a look-alike of the Toyota Innova Hycross.

It is expected that the price of the Maruti Suzuki Invicto will range somewhere between Rs 25 lakh and Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom), according to reports. The premium MPV is powered by the same engine which runs the Innova Hycross. The engine has a 2.0-liter VVTi petrol engine producing 174 PS of maximum power and 205 Nm of peak torque and is paired with a CVT automatic.

The engine is backed by a strong self-charging hybrid electric system, which grinds out a combined maximum power of 186 PS with the engine torque at 188 Nm and the motor torque at 206 Nm, paired with an e-drive sequential shift.

Maruti Suzuki Invicto features

Talking about Invicto's features, the four-wheeler will come loaded with features such as a panoramic sunroof, a digital driver's display, dual-zone AC, ventilated front seats, and memory settings for the driver's seat. The high-end car is equipped with a wireless phone charging system and a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The Invicto also has a full suite of advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) features, including adaptive cruise control and emergency braking, among other key features.

Further, the safety kit of the car includes six airbags, a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), electronic stability control (ESC), and a 360-degree camera. Although there's a huge price gap and difference in features, at some point the overall look of the Invicto will be compared with the Tata Harrier and Toyota's Innova Hycross.

Maruti Suzuki Invicto vs Tata Harrier vs Toyota Innova Hycross

Price:

Maruti Suzuki Invicto is expected to be priced somewhere between Rs 25 and 30 lakh (ex-showroom) while Tata Harrier is available at a price range of Rs 15 lakh to Rs 24 lakh. On the other hand Toyota Innova Hycross comes with a price range of Rs 18.5 lakh to Rs 30 lakh.

Engine, Peak Power and Safety:

Invicto's engine is of 1987 cc, with 4 Cylinders Inline, 4 valves per cylinder, and DOHC. Tata Harrier runs on a 2.0 litre turbocharged engine while Innova Hycross is powered by a 2.0 litre engine.

The peak power of the Invicto is 184 bhp at 6600 rpm. Whereas, the Tata Harrier has 168 bhp at 3750 rpm and Innova's Hycross has 173 bhp at 6600 rpm.

Maruti's Invicto has six airbags, whereas Tata Harrier and Innova Hycross have two airbags.
