Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has introduced the XL750 Transalp to the Indian market at an inaugural price of Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom). The adventure tourer will make its entry into the country in a completely built up (CBU) form and will be exclusively available through the premium BigWing Top Line dealerships.

Bookings for the XL750 Transalp are currently open for the first 100 customers in cities such as Gurugram, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Indore, Kochi, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Kolkata, with deliveries scheduled to commence next month.

  • Honda Adventure Tourer XL750 Transalp: Engine

Powering the Honda XL750 Transalp is a new 755cc liquid-cooled in-line two-cylinder engine that generates 92PS of maximum power and 75Nm of peak torque. The engine is coupled with a 6-speed gearbox and features cylinders coated with Ni-SiC (Nickel-Silicon Carbide), a technology used in models like the Honda CRF450R and the Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade.

In terms of features, the Honda XL750 Transalp boasts an LED lighting system, an integrated windscreen, a spacious tank, and an aluminum rear carrier. It includes a 5.0-inch TFT display that is customizable according to the rider's preferences, manageable via the screen or the switchgear on the left handlebar.

HMSI highlights that the motorcycle offers electronic aids via a throttle-by-wire (TBW) system, providing riders with the option to select from five different riding modes. These modes enable riders to customize their preferred combination of engine power, engine braking, and Honda selectable torque control (HSTC) with ABS and assist slipper clutch. The available riding modes include Sport, Standard, Rain, Gravel, and User, offering adaptability to individual preferences.

The XL750 Transalp is constructed on a lightweight steel diamond frame and comes equipped with Showa 43mm SFF-CA USD front forks and a rear shock operating through Pro-Link. Braking duties are handled by dual 310mm wave discs with hydraulic 2-piston calipers at the front and a 256mm single disc with a 1-pot caliper at the rear, accompanied by standard dual-channel ABS. The adventure tourer features a 21-inch wheel at the front and an 18-inch wheel at the rear.

Additionally, the motorcycle offers the Honda smartphone voice control (HSVC) system, enabling riders to connect with their smartphones while on the move, facilitating voice management of calls, messages, music, and navigation. Safety features include an emergency stop signal that alerts vehicles behind through flashing hazard lamps during sudden braking, along with an automatic turn signal cancelling function.
