Harley-Davidson X440 delivery to begin from October 15: Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, has announced on Tuesday that it will begin deliveries of the newly-launched Harley-Davidson X440 from the auspicious first day of the Navratri festival — October 15, 2023. Hero MotoCorp is targetting the festive season to roll-out the first batch of premium motorcycles that it has co-developed with Harley-Davidson. 
 
As per the official release, Harley-Davidson X440 is currently being manufactured at Hero MotoCorp’s manufacturing facility – called the Garden Factory - at Neemrana in Rajasthan. The companyhas begun offering test rides of Harley-Davidson X440 for the pre-booked customers from September 1.

Since the booking window first opened on July 4, Hero MotoCorp said that it had received 25,597 bookings in a month for the Harley-Davidson X440, leading to the closure of the booking window. 

The two-wheeler behemoth has said that the new booking window will open from October 16, and customers can book the new Harley-Davidson X440 at all Harley-Davidson dealerships and select Hero MotoCorp outlets across the country.

Customers can book the Harley-Davidson X440 motorcycle by paying a booking amount of Rs 5,000, the company said.

Harley-Davidson X440: Price in India

The Harley-Davidson X440 motorcycle was launched in July 2023 at an introductory price range of Rs 2.29 lakh to 2.69 lakh (ex-showroom). 

After the end of the introductory window, the company revised the prices, with the Denim variant priced at Rs 2.39 lakh (ex-showroom), Vivid priced at Rs 2.59 lakh (ex-showroom) and the S variant priced at Rs 2.79 lakh (ex-showroom).

Harley-Davidson X440: Engine, specifications, seat height

The Harley-Davidson X440 motorcycle is powered by a 440 cc engine and dual-channel ABS. It boasts a roadster design with modern elements like LED lighting, a digital instrument cluster, alloy wheels, and upside-down forks. The Harley-Davidson X440 has a reported seat height of 805mm.

Harley-Davidson X440: Mileage, fuel economy

In test conditions, the Harley-Davidson X440 is reported to have returned a mileage ranging betwen 30 kmpl and 40 kmpl. However, ZeeBiz couldn't independently verify these figures, and one will have to wait for the real-world fuel efficiency figures once the bike hits the streets on October 15.

Hero MotoCorp and Harley-Davidson Partnership for India

Hero MotoCorp and Harley-Davidson had announced a partnership for the Indian market in October 2020. As part of the deal, Hero MotoCorp was mandated to develop and sell a range of premium motorcycles under the Harley-Davidson brand name in India.
