Essel Group firm Zee Learn today reported a 55 per cent increase in its consolidated net profit at Rs 11.33 crore for the quarter ended September 30.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 7.31 crore during the same period of the previous fiscal, Zee Learn said in a regulatory filing.

Net sales during the quarter under review grew 59.21 per cent to Rs 60.47 crore as against Rs 37.98 crore in the year ago period.

"It has been a very satisfying performance this quarter, striking a good balance between pursuing revenue growth, while tightening our execution delivery to greater efficiency," Zee Learn CEO Debshankar Mukhopadhyay said.

The company's stock closed 0.97 per cent higher at Rs 46.80 apiece on BSE today.
