Praising the efforts of the BJP government in the state for organising the summit, the minister said, "I have never seen this enthusiasm among those associated with the textile sector. It is an indication that the sector is going to be the next employment engine in Uttar Pradesh." For facilitating exporters, Irani suggested that the Uttar Pradesh government set up an "international warehousing centre" and said, "Handicrafts should also be associated with e-commerce, so that national and international buyers can purchase them." She also said jute-growers should be given certified seeds and stressed on jute diversification for the benefit of the farmers.

Earlier, state minister Satyadev Pachauri said memorandums of understanding (MoUs) worth Rs 7,000 crore were signed in the textile sector at the summit and called upon the industrialists to establish their businesses in Uttar Pradesh, while assuring them of "all help from the state government".
