Besides this Rs 4 crore to the CM's distress relief fund, Shetty has also contributed another Rs 9.5 crore to the Khalifa bin Zayed al Nahyan Foundation, which is facilitating the provisioning of relief support from the UAE, which has offered Rs 700 crore to the state.

Unimoni and UAE Exchange, alongside with NMC Healthcare, have also been actively assisting the ongoing relief and rehabilitation efforts in Kerala through multiple initiatives, the group said in statement.

UAE Exchange and Unimoni have globally waived off the service fee on remittances to the CM's distress relief fund in an effort to mobilise funds and enable their customers to contribute towards the ongoing relief and rehabilitation efforts.
