CSIR-IMTECH is a premier microbial institute under the aegis of the Union Ministry of Science and Technology.

The aim of the conference 'IMTechCon 2017' is to engage industry and academic leaders to discuss current unmet medical needs globally, IMTECH Director Anil Koul said.

The conference was presided over by Haryana Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki, who said that such close interactions will forge new R&D partnerships between industry and research institutions and lead to more product/technology development output.

"Partnerships between industry and academia have yielded great strides in research for IMTECH as has been witnessed by therapeutic use of clot buster Streptokinase for the public at large at affordable cost," the Governor added.
