Principal Secretary for IT and Industries Jayesh Ranjan said while the first draft of the Retail Trade Policy was ready, the officials are currently working on formulating the contents for 'logistics policy'.

"We are the first state that is coming out with a Retail policy that would include e-commerce also. The first draft of the policy was ready yesterday. We made some changes.

Our teams are still working on it. We will come out with the policy in two to three months times," Ranjan told reporters on the sidelines of opening of a Fulfilment Centre of Amazon.

For logistics policy, it will take some more time, he added.

He said as Telangana becomes a natural choice for e-commerce companies, the government has decided to include that also in the retail policy to support their activities.
