The Telangana government today entered into an MoU with Safran Electrical and Power SAS for setting up an aerospace unit in the state.

Philippe Petitcolin, CEO, Safran and Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary (industries) of the state government signed the MoU at an event in Delhi, a state government release said here.

Under the agreement, Safran Electrical and Power India would set up a unit in the state at a cost of Rs 52 crore, it said.

The project is expected to create more than 250 employment opportunities, it added.
