Soybean prices were higher by Rs 26 to Rs 2,884 per quintal in futures trade today as speculators raised their bets amid positive global cues.

At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, soybean for most-traded delivery in December month strengthened by Rs 26 or 0.91 per cent to Rs 2,884 per quintal, in an business turnover of 1,57,260 open lots.

The November month contract rose by Rs 25 or 0.89 per cent to Rs 2,835 per quintal with an open interest of 37,190 lots.

Besides a firm trend in global market, an uptrend in edible oil prices at spot markets supported the upside in futures prices, traders said.
