Speaking at the Global Mobility Summit here, the Minister of State for Civil Aviation also talked about possible uses of drones. Recently, the Civil Aviation Ministry came out with norms for civilian use of drones or unmanned aerial system.

"We can come out with out of box solutions to transportation and mobility services," he said.

Sinha also said that as an engineer, he was very excited about the future, particularly when one looks at electric vehicles.

Talking about the shift towards electric propulsion systems compared to internal combustion propulsion systems, he said, "We are in a situation where we are reducing the moving parts dramatically...reducing the moving parts can drop ownership costs by 30, 40, 50 per cent and it also means that you can utilise an asset for a very long time".
