Select base metals ease on subdued demand
Select base metals including copper utensils, brass and tin eased further at the non-ferrous metal market here today on stockists' selling amid subdued demand from industrial users.
While, zinc and nickel gained further owing to good demand from alloy industries.
Tin weakened by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,380 from Tuesday's close at Rs 1,385 and brass utensils scrap moved down by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 303 as against Rs 306 yesterday.
Copper utensils and brass sheet cuttings softened by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 388 and Rs 319 as compared Rs 390 and Rs 321 yesterday.
However, nickel rose by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 790 from yesterday's close at Rs 785 and zinc moved up by Rs 4 per kg to Rs 242 from Rs 238.
