The Rajasthan government has increased its targeted procurement of urad by 30,000 tonnes.

Cooperatives Minister Ajay Singh Kilak today said, in a statement, the government will now procure 60,000 tonnes of urad at minimum support price (MSP).

He said the earlier target was 30,000 tonnes, which was increased witnessing bumper crop in the state.

He said the government has requested the Centre to increase the procurement target of moong.

Till date, Rs 351.54 crore worth procurement of moong, urad, soybean and groundnut was done in the state from over 38,000 farmers, Kilak added.
