Refined soya oil futures gain 0.39% on spot demand

Refined soya oil prices were up by 0.39 per cent to Rs 663.60 per 10 kg in futures market today as speculators built up fresh positions after pick up in demand in spot market.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in September month rose by Rs 2.55, or 0.39 per cent to Rs 663.60 per 10 kg with an open interest of 16,260 lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in October was trading higher by Rs 2.55, or 0.38 per cent to Rs 671.75 per 10 kg in 49,250 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions created by traders due to pick up in demand in physical market against restricted supplies from producing belts, mainly influenced refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
