Agro-chemicals maker PI Industries today posted a 20.75 per cent fall in its standalone net profit at Rs 80.34 crore during the second quarter of the current fiscal on poor sales.

The company had clocked a net profit of Rs 101.38 crore in the same quarter of the last fiscal, it said in a regulatory filing.

Net income declined to Rs 573.34 crore during the July- September quarter of the current fiscal from Rs 585.30 crore in the year-ago period.

Expenses, however, remained slightly lower at Rs 460.65 crore in the second quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 463.45 crore in the same period of the last year.

The company declared a dividend of Rs 1.50 per share at a face value of Rs 1 per each share.

Shares of PI Industries fell 1.02 per cent to settle at Rs 781.65 apiece on BSE today.
