Over 55.03 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has arrived so far in mandis of Haryana, out of which government procuring agencies have procured over 52.07 lakh metric tonnes whereas over 2.96 lakh metric tonnes of the crop purchased by millers and dealers.

While stating this here today, an official spokesperson said out of the total arrival, 24.06 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been purchased by Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, 17.57 lakh metric tonnes by HAFED, 4.82 lakh metric tonnes by the Haryana Agro Industries Corporation, 5.49 lakh metric tonnes by Haryana Warehousing Corporation and 12,030 metric tonnes by the Food Corporation of India.

As far as procurement of Bajra is concerned, he said 30,794 metric tonnes of crop has been arrived so far in mandis, out of which government procuring agencies have procured 23,586 metric tonnes, whereas 7,208 metric tonnes of Bajra is purchased by traders.
