Oriental Insurance Company Ltd has set a target to collect Rs 425 crore as premium from Madhya Pradesh in the current fiscal.

"In the current financial year we are working on a target of collecting Rs 425 crore as premium in the state," Oriental Insurance Company's regional office deputy general manager MP Varma told reporters.

He said in the last financial year, the public sector non-life insurance major had collected Rs 351.21 crore from the state.

Varma said the company has launched a drive to raise awareness among people about getting their vehicles insured.

"We have requested police to help the company in this drive," he added.
