ONGC and Tata Housing Development Company have emerged as the winners in the medium and small category, respectively, during the PMI India Awards 2017 held here.

The awards were presented during a conference which provides a platform for project management practioners across industries, governments, NGOs and academic institutions.

"The recipients of this year's PMI awards exhibit achievements and talents of their respective company and individuals that exemplify project managemnt excellence", PMI India, Managing Director, Raj Kalady said.

"The award recognises the efforts of project managers for successfully completing the project in agreed time frame, complexity and marked budget and also for realising the benefits that were intended at the start of the project".

According to a talent gap report prepared by the institute, the total number of project management oriented employment would be 2.18 crore by 2027 as against 1.47 crore in 2017.

"On an annualised basis, employers across the globe will need to fill nearly 22 lakh project oriented roles each year through 2027.", PMI Board of Directors, Chairman, Mark Dickson said.

"Policy makers need to realise the importance of project management skillsets to economic output.", he added.
