Traders said, increased offtake by consuming industries against restricted supplies from growing regions mainly kept select grain prices higher.

In the national capital, bold grains like jowar yellow and white rose by Rs 50 each to Rs 1,750-1,800 and Rs 2,900-3,000 per quintal, respectively.

Bajra and maize also advanced by Rs 30 each to Rs 1,300-1,305 and Rs 1,260-1,265 per quintal, respectively.

Barley,too, finished higher by Rs 20 to Ra 1,550-1,560 per quintal.
