Engineering and construction giant Larsen & Toubro (L&T) today said it has won orders worth Rs 1,521 crore across various segments.

"The construction arm of L&T has won orders worth Rs 1,521 crore," the company said in a statement.

It said its heavy civil infrastructure business has secured an order worth Rs 1,396 crore that includes a contract from the West Bengal Highway Development Corporation Limited (WBHDCL) for the construction of a six-lane extra-dosed bridge across the river Hooghly besides existing Iswar Gupta Setu at Kalyani, West Bengal.

The company said its Smart World Communication Business Unit has secured an order worth Rs 125 crore from JAPIT (Jharkhand Agency for Promotion of Information Technology) for the implementation of Jharkhand State Wide Area Network'.

"The scope involves creation and upgradation of core network infrastructure of JAPIT for supporting e-Governance initiatives, which includes servers, network switches, routers, network management system and integration with other government networks across the state of Jharkhand," it said.

Larsen & Toubro is an Indian multinational engaged in technology, engineering, construction, manufacturing and financial services with over USD 17 billion in revenue.
