Jammu and Kashmir Power Minister Sunil Sharma today said the present government is taking concrete measures to meet the aspirations of the people.

"Concrete measures are being taken to meet people's aspirations. we are taking revolutionary measures to meet the aspirations of the people of the state," Sharma said.

The minister today inaugurated 20 MVA, 132/33 KV transformer at Grid station Janipur.

He said the expectations of the people are very high, and focus is on optimal utilisation of available resources to achieve the desired goal to provide uninterrupted power supply to every household in the state.

"Development is not merely on papers and positive changes can be seen on the ground, the minister maintained. He said the augmentation of existing and creating new power infrastructure has been taken up at a massive scale to provide relief to the consumers.

The minister asked the PDD functionaries to win the trust of people and fill the communication gap between public and the department for successful implementation of reforms.

The minister also informed that the process for the regularisation and promotions of employees in PDD is on and expressed desire to bring a policy for rewarding promotions to the employees doing exceptional work.

Sharma asked the concerned officials to adopt visionary approach and work round the clock to ensure smooth functioning of the department. He asked them to put in dedicated efforts for the benefit of the consumers.

The PDD minister said that the centre is providing liberal funding for the development purpose and emphasised on proper implementation of projects initiated for the welfare of people.

Responding to demands of the employees, the minister assured that all their genuine issues and demands will be looked into sympathetically.
