Launched a few months back, InstaCash has purchased close to 5,500 smartphones from users in Delhi and NCR market.

"The rise in smartphone reuse is the new trend in the industry. A market survey has found that 60 per cent consumers replace smartphones to experience the additional functionality of new devices. Keeping this mind, the app was launched," Prateek Goel, founder of the company said here.

He said that the app is unique in its features where the user is needed to just follow instructions and the app through an automated process makes easy and convenient for the consumer to get a good price of the device.

"The price is generated in a very scientific manner.

After the process is done, digital payment is made and the phone is picked from the doorstep," he said.

He said that the reused phones are sold in small towns and villages, where there is a good demand of cheaper or second hand smart phones.

Goel said that markets in Rajasthan and other states would also be covered soon.
