Industrial oils slip on subdued demand

Castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial slipped in an otherwise lacklustre Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market today following subdued demand from soaps and shippers industries.

Elsewhere, linseeds oil also eased due to sluggish demand from paint and allied industries.

Meanwhile, groundnut oil and refined palmolein ruled steady in absence of any large-scale buying activity.

In the non-edibles section, castorseeds bold declined by Rs 15 per 100 kg to Rs 4,125 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 4,140 and castoroil commercial edged down by Rs 3 per 10 kg to Rs 855 as against Rs 858.

Linseeds oil also moved down by Rs 7 per 10 kg to Rs 785 from Rs 792 yesterday.

Moving the edible segment, groundnut oil and refined palmolein closed unchanged at Rs 840 per 10kg and Rs 722 per 10 kg respectively.
