IndusInd Bank has tied up with JSW Foundation to support women athletes by arranging training and development programmes for them.

The IndusInd Bank Girl Power Programme will support over 60 female athletes across six disciplines, including boxing, judo and wrestling.

The programme will support junior as well as established women athletes so as to enable them to compete on a global stage, the bank said.

IndusInd Bank said 60 female athletes have already been inducted in the first year of this programme.

"The programme entails developing women athletes in an integrated manner. It aims to empower them with a platform and the strengthen to achieve their goals. We want to shape not just their career, but life beyond too," said Mustafa Ghouse, CEO, JSW Sports.

Sanjeev Anand, Country Head-Commercial Banking IndusInd Bank said: "With this initiative, we want to support these young athletes and groom them so that they can grow and perform to the highest level of their potential."
