The wholesale gur (jaggery) market ended on a steady note in the national capital today with prices moving in a tight range in limited deals and pegged at last levels.

Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also showed a similar trend in the absence of buying support.

Marketmen said adequate stocks and restricted buying activity mainly kept gur prices at previous levels.

Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal): Gur chakku Rs 3,800-3,900, pedi Rs 3,800-3,900, dhayya Rs 3,900-4,000 and shakkar Rs 4,000-4,100.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,700-2,750, chakku Rs 3,800-3,950, khurpa Rs 3,500-3,550 and Ladoo Rs 3,800- 3,850.

Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,500-3,600 and dhayya Rs 3,600- 3,650.
