Groundnut oil recovers on renewed demand

Groundnut oil prices rebounded at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today following renewed demand from stockists and retailers amid seasonal offtake.

Meanwhile, refined palmolein ruled steady in absence of any large-scale buying activities.

In non-edible segment, castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial slipped owing to subdued demand from soaps and shippers industries.

Linseeds also eased due to sluggish demand from paint and allied industries.

In the edible segment, groundnut oil rose by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 800 from Friday's closing level of Rs 790, However refined palmolein closed unchanged at Rs 600 per 10kg.

Moving to non-edible section, castorseed bold dropped by Rs 50 per 100 kg to Rs 4,825 as against Rs 4,875 yesterday, castoroil commercial moved down by Rs 10 per 10kg to Rs 995 from Rs 1,005 and linseed oil went down by Rs 10 per 10kg to Rs 750 as compared Rs 760, previously.
