Groundnut oil recovers on fresh demand

Groundnut oil recovers at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today on fresh demand from stockist and retailers amid festive offtake.

While, refined palmolein edged down owing to sluggish retail buying.

Castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial also eased further following reduced offtake from soaps and shippers industries.

Linseedoil remained stable in the absence of any major buying activities.

In the edible section, groundnut oil rose by Rs 20 per 10 kg to Rs 870 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 850, but, refined palmolein edged down by Rs 3 per 10kg to Rs 595 as against Rs 598 yesterday.

Moving to non-edible segment, castorseeds bold moved down by Rs 5 per 100 kg to Rs 4,735 as compared Rs 4,740 yesterday and castoroil commercial softened by a Re per 10 kg to Rs 977, respectively.

Linseeds oil ended unaltered at Rs 750 per 10 kg.
