Groundnut oil gains in special Muhurat session

Groundnut oil prices rose marginally in a special Muhurat trading session at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today due to mild demand from stockists and retailers amid festivity.

Linseeds oil also recovered due to fresh demand from paint and allied industries.

However, refined palmolein slipped owing to subdued demand from retailers.

Castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial also weakened following reduced industrial demand.

In the edible section, groundnut oil gained 25 paise per 10kg to Rs 910.25 from Wednesday's close of Rs 910.

Refined palmolein softened by Rs 1.75 per 10kg to Rs 593.25 as against Rs 595 previously.

In the non-edible segment, castorseeds bold fell by Rs 24 per 100 kg to Rs 4,701 from yesterday's close of Rs 4,725 and castoroil commercial moved down by Rs 4.75 per 10 kg to Rs 970.25 as compared to Rs 975.

Linseeds oil gained by 25 paise per 10kg to Rs 750.25 from Rs 750 previously.
