Groundnut oil drops in listless trade

Groundnut oil dropped in an otherwise listless Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today following reduced demand from stockists and retailers amid ample stocks position.

While, refined palmolein, castorseeds bold, castoroil commercial and linseeds oil ruled steady in absence of any large-scale buying activity.

In the edibles segment, groundnut oil weakened by Rs 20 per 10kg to Rs 860 from Friday's closing level of Rs 880 and refined palmolein ended unaltered to Rs 677 per 10kg.

Moving to non-edibles section, castorseeds bold, castoroil commercial and linseeds oil closed unchanged at Rs 4,645 per 100kg, Rs 959 per 10kg and Rs 900 per 10kg respectively.
