Transporters said shortage of trucks against increased cargo movements mainly pushed up freight rates for select destinations.

Delhi to Ahmedabad, Patna and Mumbai freight rates moved up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 23,000, Rs 25,000 and Rs 29,000.

Rates to Kolkata, Guwahati and Hyderabad also went up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 32,000, Rs 61,000 and Rs 58,000.
