A coordination meeting with the national and state nodal officers of telecom service providers (TSPs) operating in Haryana, Punjab and Delhi service areas was held today under the chairmanship of Inspector General of Police, CID, Anil Kumar Rao.

It was decided in the meeting that all the TSPs would provide one dedicated phone number which would be attended to round the clock for providing requisite information to the law enforcement agencies, said a Haryana government press release.

Rao said that it was the need of the hour that telecom operators and security agencies may work with simultaneous coordination as their support can play a vital role in apprehending various criminals and anti social elements.

He stressed upon the TSPs to provide full cooperation for the security of the nation. All the representatives of TSPs assured that full cooperation will be extended to the Haryana Police in this direction.

He also asked the participants to intimate any difficulty being faced by them while dealing with various police field units of Haryana.
