At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in October fell by Rs 29.60, or 2.47 per cent, to Rs 1,170.20 per kg, in a business turnover of 112 lots.

Similarly, the spice for delivery in far-month November edged down by Rs 26.90, or 2.30 per cent, to Rs 1,145 per kg, with a trading volume of 4 lots.

Analysts said offloading of positions by speculators amid higher supplies from producing regions and sluggish demand in the spot market mainly pulled down cardamom prices in futures trade.
