New Parliament Building: People have been waiting for a long time to see the new Parliament building inaugurated. Their long wait can end at the end of this month as sources told Zee Biz that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is most likely to inaugurate the new Parliament building on May 28. Sources added that the preparations for the inauguration of the new Parliament building are almost complete and the new Sansad Bhavan will likely be inaugurated in a grand ceremony.

It is learnt that the inauguration of the building will heldto mark the completion of nine years of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government in the Centre.

New Parliament will look grand

The new Parliament building is a grandiose project as it will be equipped with some state-of-the-art facilities.

Modern resources ensuring foolproof security have been used for the building.

There is seating arrangement for 1,224 Members of Parliament in the four-storey Parliament House.

The arrangement of seats in the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha has been done keeping in mind the upcoming delimitation.

There will be a new uniform for marshals and employees manning the new Parliament House. Their new unforms have been desiged by the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT).

Inauguration to mark completion of 9 years of NDA government

It was on May 26, 2014, when Narendra Modi took the oath of his first term as the Prime Minister, and for his second term he took the oath on May 30, 2019.

Bearing this in mind, the inauguration of the new Parliament House will likely be done on May 28 to mark the completion of 9 years of the NDA government.

Sources told ZeeBiz that strict security arrangements will be made for the grand inauguration event.
