In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote, "I have long ago informed Tim Cook of Apple that I expect their iPhones that will be sold in the United States of America will be manufactured and built in the United States, not India, or anyplace else," Trump said in a post on Truth Social. US President Donald Trump on Friday (May 23, 2025) threatened Apple with a 25 per cent tariff if it manufactures iPhones outside the United States of America (USA).
Mentioning India in his message on the Truth Social social website, Trump wrote, "I have long ago informed Tim Cook of Apple that I expect their iPhones that will be sold in the United States of America will be manufactured and built in the United States, not India, or anyplace else."
