US President Donald Trump claims two US pilots rescued from Iran, calls it historic military feat

US President Donald Trump claimed that the United States Military successfully carried out a high-risk rescue operation to retrieve one of its pilots from deep within Iranian territory. According to Trump, the pilot, a highly respected colonel, was behind enemy lines in treacherous mountainous terrain and was being pursued by Iranian forces.

Trump, in a Truth Social post, described the mission as one of the most daring search-and-rescue operations in US military history. He said that under his direction, dozens of aircraft armed with advanced weaponry were deployed to extract the officer safely. While the pilot sustained injuries during the operation, Trump emphasised that he was now "safe and sound."

This brave Warrior was behind enemy lines in the treacherous mountains of Iran, being hunted down by our enemies, who were getting closer and closer by the hour, but was never truly alone because his Commander in Chief, Secretary of War, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and fellow Warfighters were monitoring his location 24 hours a day, and diligently planning for his rescue," president Trump said in a post on Truth Social.

This operation, Trump added, followed a similar rescue the previous day, marking the first time in memory that two US pilots were rescued separately from enemy territory. Trump highlighted that no American personnel were killed or injured during these missions, calling it proof of US air superiority over Iranian skies.

Trump praised the professionalism of the US military and urged Americans of all political affiliations to take pride in the achievement. He concluded his statement by extending Easter greetings and reaffirming his commitment that “we will never leave an American warfighter behind.”
