Protesters are holding anti-trump rallies in a movement dubbed as the 'No Kings' protest in several parts of the US, marking the third such nationwide mobilisation in recent times, according to foreign media reports. Organisers are learned to have planned more than 3,200 events are planned across all 50 states, according to their website -- nokings.org, with protesters targeting policies like deportation crackdown and America's role in the Iran conflict, which is in its second month since US-Israel stikes killed Iran's Supreme Leader, triggered Tehran's retaliatory action against several Middle Eastern countries and left the Strait of Hormuz -- a crucial maritime region impacting one-fifth of the world's oil and gas supplies -- blocked.
Large turnouts were reportedly recorded in states like New York, Dallas, Philadelphia and Washington, with nearly two-thirds of events held outside major cities -- marking a 40 per cent increase in smaller community participation. Organisers are anticipating what could be the largest day of domestic political protest in American history, with more than 3,300 events planned in all 50 states.
"All No Kings events adhere to a shared commitment to nonviolent and lawful protest and community safety. Organisers are trained in de-escalation, every local event has a safety lead, and organisers are coordinating closely with local partners to ensure powerful, nonviolent local actions," mentioned the organisers' portal.
Describing the Trump administration's decisions as "harmful and reckless", organisers of the protest alleged that they continue to impact "every individual and family nationwide".
"This Saturday, millions of voices are showing up to send a powerful message: No ICE. No Illegal Wars. No Kings," read a statement dated March 27 on the website.
“From illegal wars to masked agents in our streets to driving up costs and trying to control our elections before they happen, this administration’s actions are not just angering deep blue urban centers, but they are crossing a red line for everyday families in the suburbs, too," it noted
