Bangkok Earthquake: Airports closed; train services suspended in Bangkok

As per the Zee Business report, two major airports, Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) and Don Mueang Airport, have been closed, and the passengers have been evacuated.

Due to a massive earthquake in Myanmar, strong tremors were also felt in Bangkok. As a result, train, flight, and metro services have been halted, Zee Business reported.

Several buildings collapsed in the city due to the earthquake. A state of emergency has been declared.

As per the Zee Business report, two major airports, Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) and Don Mueang Airport, have been closed, and the passengers have been evacuated.

Rail and Metro services

Due to the massive quake, rail and metro services have also been affected.

Earthquake in Myanmar

According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), a strong earthquake of 7.7 magnitude was felt by people in Myanmar. Germany's GFZ center for geosciences said the midday temblor was a shallow 10 kilometres, with an epicentre in neighbouring Myanmar. Post this, Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, reported 7.3 magnitude earthquake.
