As several countries struggle to keep pace with the sky-rocketing value of US Dollar (USD), here are the top currencies that depreciated the most in the last one year.

5.   GHS – Ghanaian Cedi – 55%

From 7.047 GHS in Mar'22, the value of GHS against USD depreciated to 10.94 GHS in May '23.

4. PKR- Pakistan Rupee – 58.7%

The value of PKR depreciated from 179.617 PKR against USD in March 2022 to 285.13 PKR in May 2023.

3. EGP – Egyptian Pound – 84.6%

The value of EGP against USD depreciated from 16.733 EGP against USD in March 2022 to 30.9 EGP in May 2023.

2. APS-Argentine Peso – 100%

The value of USD against ARS rose by over 100% going from 115.420 APS in April 2022 to 231.6 APS in May 2023

1. LBP- Lebanese pound – 900%

Its value depreciated from 1507 LBP against 1 USD in April 2022 to 15006.28 in May 2023
