More Indian carbuyers are now prioritising safety over affordability and mileage. This has brought into focus Global New Car Assessment Programme (G-NCAP), which rates cars in terms of their safety parameters. This list contains cars that are highly-rated on the N-CAP safety ratings.

Volkswagen Virtus / Skoda Slavia

The sedans from VW have received 5-star rating for both adult and child occupant safety.

Volkswagen Taigun / Skoda Kushaq

Both the SUVs from VW stable have also received a 5-star rating for both adult and child occupants.

Mahindra XUV700

Mahindra's SUV has also received G-NCAP rating of 5-star for adult occupants, and 4-star for child occupants' safety.

Mahindra XUV300

G-NCAP rating has given XUV300 a 5-star-rating for adult occupant safety and 4-star-rating for child occupants.
