Commodities Live: GEAC, Biotech Regulator, Gives Nod For Commercial Cultivation Of GM Mustard

Biotech regulatory Genetic Engineering Appraisal Committee (GEAC) has approved the environmental release of Genetically Modified (GM) Mustard in the country. The DMH-11 variety claims a 30% higher yield. This will significantly increase the production of mustard in India. If the government approves its commercial cultivation, it will be the first
