Budget Expectations: ELSS MF investments should not be restricted to multiples of Rs 500, says AMFI
Expectations are high once again for the Budget to introduce changes aimed at boosting economic growth and benefiting the common man. Many experts and analysts have shared their wishlists ahead of this highly anticipated event. One notable suggestion comes from the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI), proposing amendments to allow investments in Equity Linked Savings Schemes (ELSS) mutual fund schemes in any amount, rather than in multiples of Rs 500.
Currently, ELSS norms mandate that the amount to be invested in a mutual fund ELSS can only be in multiples of Rs 500. | Representational image | Image source: Pexels
