T20 World Cup 2022 Final - India vs England winner to play Pakistan: The winner of Thursday's India vs England semi final 2 match will take on Pakistan in the Final of ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 on 13 November, Sunday. In the first Semi Final on Wednesday, Pakistan beat New Zealand by 7 wickets to advance into the T20 World Cup Final.
Pakistan cantered into the T20 World Cup final with a comfortable win in the last over. Batting first, New Zealand managed to score 152 runs after losing 4 wickets, riding on Daryl Mitchell's unbeaten 34-ball 53 and skipper Kane Williamson's 46 off 42 balls. Pak pace spearhead Shaheen Afridi snapped two wickets, while Mohammad Nawaz took one.
In reply, Pakistan achieved the target with five balls to spare with Babar Azam (53 off 42) and Mohammad Rizwan (57) sharing a 105-run stand for the opening wicket. Trent Boult managed to grab two wickets, while Mitchell Santner scalped one wicket.
The second semi final of the T20 World Cup between India and England will take place on 10 November. India emerged on top of Group 2, and they will play against Group 1 runners-up England at the Adelaide Oval Cricket Ground in Adelaide, Australia.
